Brian Kelly
Brian’s 24 years experience began in 1985 with the ALPS Summer league on the West island of Montreal. In 1986 he co-founded and Head Coached the Vaudreuil Swim Club. Under his leadership the club produced some of the top age group swimmers in the province and country, winning him a nomination for the top developmental coach in the Lac St. Louis region.
Since that small town start Brian has gone on to serve as Head Coach of Vanier College Swimming, Head Age Group Coach for the Gloucester-Ottawa Kingfish, Assistant Head Coach for the North York Aquatic Club, and Head Coach of the Dorado STARS Swim Club.
Brian has produced many regional, provincial, and national age group champions while breaking club, provincial, and national records. His athletes have medaled at all levels in Canadian Swimming. He was an invited speaker for the 2002 Ontario Swim Coaches Association (OSCA) annual conference, a recipient of the 2001-2002 OSCA Age Group Performance Award, and selected staff for the 2007 Ontario Tour Team.
The 2009-2010 season is Brian’s first as Head Coach of the Upper Canada Swim Club.
