Fund Raising
ü Income earned through fund raising is calculated quarterly (Sept 30 Dec 30 March 30, June 30) and refunded on those dates
ü All credits after the total paid towards registration and or meets fees are applied to next swim registration fees
ü Coupons purchased or other fund raising after June 30 applied to next years commitment
1. Grocery Cards and Canadian Tire Cards
Upper Canada Swim Club first implemented the Card program for 2003-2004,
Parents earned over $14,000 in 2004-2005 year.
$15,000 in 2006-2007 year
$16,000 in 2006-2007 year
$14,000 in 2007-2008 year
$16,000 in 2008-2009 year
$14,000 in 2009-2010 year
ü You can sell to family and friends and have it applied to your account.
ü Gift Cards are available for all the grocery stores and earn 4%
§ Purchase of $500 groceries per month earns you $20.00 per month or $200 over 10 month swim season
o Canadian Tire earns 4%
ü Cards can be purchased all year. Cards purchased from July 1-Aug 31 are applied to the fund-raising for the next swim season.
There is a representative at the pool at all Swim practices after practice

Monday to Friday between 7am and 3pm.

2. Other Coupon Purchases
How does it Work?
1. In November date TBA orders are placed for a large group order for gift cards for X-mas from 100’s of different stores
2. A list will be posted on line and on the bulletin board
3. A notice will be emailed and posted with detailed instructions
4. The earned discount is paid to the club and applied as a credit to your account the same as the grocery certificates.
How do I get the Coupons?
- The X-mas order will come to the club
How much do I earn?
That is entirely up to you. The more you use the shop on line the more you earn
The % per coupon varies and is on the order form.

Collect any aluminum and return to Zigman’s -700 Central St .W. (at the end of the road)

Return items to the back door you will receive a slip
Take the slip to the office and apply it to UCSC (make sure you give your swimmer family name for credit)
6. Hosted Swim Meets
All parents are required to participate in our hosted swim meets.
The income from these meets is responsible for keeping the fees at a lower than cost level.
Volunteer points are earned
7.Sponsorship Initiative
Get sponsors for the swim club and earn 50% of the sponsorship
8. Year End Garage Sale
Clear out your unused and unwanted items and support the club.
